Abstract:
The
long anticipated widespread use of synthetic gypsum in North America is one of the reasons for the
largest expansion of gypsum board capacity in all time. This paper will
discuss the reasons for the buildup of capacity and the impact that this
will have on the supply-demand balance for the various market areas across North America.
