Gypsum Testing and Analysis
Innogyps Inc. operates a full lab facility with staff dedicated to technical gypsum work for both gypsum board and gypsum plasters products. Are you considering opening a gypsum board plant and want to understand the properties of a potential gypsum source? Are you a gypsum board plant manager looking to quantify and improve the performance of your plant? Are you a chemical additives supplier interested in evaluating the performance of your additives through a gypsum board producer’s eyes? Or, are you new to the industry and have no idea what a Blaine or Vicat even is?
We offer a variety of analysis packages to suit different customer needs including:
• stucco and plaster quality measurements (ASTM C472)
• rock gypsum and synthetic gypsum raw materials analysis
• ball milled accelerator potency analysis
• gypsum board product analysis including mechanical strength properties (ASTM C473), core structure characterization and fire resistance performance
• gypsum board liner testing (paper or other mat products)
We have the ability to crush, grind and mill rock samples, dry FGD, calcine to stucco or plaster and even extrude and dry lab-scale board samples. It is our goal to provide end-to-end lab process and analysis services that duplicate full-scale manufacturing principles to provide fast and cost-effective fact-driven information to plant operators, product developers and suppliers to the global gypsum industry. Our lab services are available on a sample basis or as part of a long term project, depending on the scope of our customer’s needs.
We also offer many gypsum industry test methods for purchase, either individually or as a collected quality control program for gypsum board or plaster calcination operations.
Selected Innogyps-developed lab test equipment and software programs are also available for purchase including:
• Paper and plaster expansion meter
• Rapid stucco phase analyzer (1 hour phase analysis)
• Temperature rise set curve calorimeter and analyzer
• Lab scale continuous kettle calciner (10 kg/hour)
• Lab scale continuous foam generator
